Lifelike American Woodpecker Handcrafted in Wood
DecoBird Northern Flicker has a sophisticated colour palette and adds a warming design element to even the most monochromatic interior. This elegant wooden bird is beautiful sitting in any room, on the bookshelf or sideboard, as part of the interior still life.
This charming bird carving is Swedish-designed and handcrafted in wood and water-based paints. As the birds are handmade, each piece possesses delicate variations in detail, lending personality to each individual.
About the Northern Flicker
The northern flicker is abundant in North America, parts of Central America and the West Indies. They are one of the few migratory woodpeckers and have an unusual habit of feeding directly on the ground, pecking for beetles, ants, and the odd invertebrate. Their nesting habits also differ from other woodpeckers, and they happily reuse tree hollows that both the male and female take part in furnishing.
