The spotted pardalote is one of the smallest birds in Australia, 8 to 10 centimetres in length. The wings, tail, and head are covered in distinctive white spots that, in combination with its red and yellow highlights, makes the pardalote a very colourful character, aptly nicknamed the diamond bird. The pardalote is a common but rarely seen bird since they live very high up in eucalyptus trees, where they eat aphids. They build their nests by digging tunnels under ground. This is an exquisite little bird with very colourful and detailed feathers, native to southern and eastern Australia.
DecoBird is a range of realistically carved wooden sculptures depicting wild birds, artfully painted using only water-based paints developed by Wildlife Garden.
