The colourful rainbow lorikeet lives in the Australian rainforest. It has a distinctive red beak and bright feathers in all colours of the rainbow. The lorikeet has a tongue specially adapted to soaking nectar and pollen, with which they pollinate for example the coconut palm and the eucalyptus. The lorikeet parrots are social and during the day they fly in large, noisy flocks. At night they gather in their habitats to sleep.
