Distinct, angular carving marks shape the ibex’s head, while the ridged horns show traces of the carver’s tools. Soft shading along the muzzle and cheeks adds depth, giving the ibex an alert yet calm expression, as if ready for life in the mountains.
The horns are removable and can be replaced. Spare horns are available if one is lost or damaged.
The alpine ibex (Capra ibex) lives on steep cliffs and rocky slopes in the Alps. It is recognised by its long, curved horns and is an expert climber, moving with ease across near-vertical terrain. Once on the brink of extinction, the species was saved through protection in alpine national parks.
